Additional Needs & SEND Support
Every Child Deserves the Opportunity to Enjoy Gymnastics
At Gymfinity, we believe gymnastics should be accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding for every child.
We welcome children with a wide range of additional needs and understand that every gymnast is unique. Whether your child has autism, ADHD, anxiety, sensory needs, a learning difficulty, or any other additional support requirement, we encourage families to speak with us about how we can help.
Working Together
We know that parents understand their child best. That’s why we work closely with families to understand each child’s individual needs and identify how we can support them within our classes.
By sharing information with us before your child’s first session, we can help make their experience as positive and comfortable as possible.
What Support Can We Offer?
Every child and every situation is different, but our team will always do their best to support gymnasts where possible.
This may include:
- Discussing individual needs before joining
- Helping gymnasts become familiar with the class environment
- Supporting transitions into new classes
- Making coaches aware of any relevant information
- Working with parents to identify strategies that help their child succeed
While we cannot guarantee that every class environment will be suitable for every child, we are committed to working with families to find the best possible solution.
Before Your First Class
If your child has any additional needs or requirements that you feel we should be aware of, we encourage you to contact us before booking or attending a class.
The more information we have, the better equipped we are to support your child and ensure they have a positive experience at Gymfinity.
My child has autism. Can they attend classes?
Absolutely. We welcome gymnasts with autism and encourage parents to discuss any specific support requirements with us before attending. Every child is different, and we will do our best to support their individual needs.
My child has ADHD. Will they be supported?
Many children with ADHD enjoy gymnastics and thrive in a structured, active environment. We encourage parents to share any relevant information with us so that our coaching team can provide the best possible support.
My child is anxious about joining a class.
Starting a new activity can feel daunting for some children. We understand this and will do our best to help your child feel comfortable and settled. Please contact us before your first session if you would like to discuss any concerns.
How do I let you know about my child’s needs?
You can contact our team before joining or speak to us at any point during your membership. We encourage open communication and are always happy to discuss how we can best support your child.
